7 simple habits to 10x your business in 2026

Brand Strategy, Guidance + Motivation

Waiting around for growth to “just happen” is so 2025. 2026 you has got the growth in the bag with these powerful habits. 💪

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that you’ve got big plans for 2026.

Maybe this is the year you finally hit that revenue milestone or launch the thing you’ve been dreaming about for ages. Maybe this is the year you quit your job and go all in on your business.

Whatever it is, I’m over here rooting for you, my friend. But let’s just tell it like it is—you and I both know big results don’t happen by accident. They’re built on small, intentional habits that add up over time.

So, let’s talk about seven simple but highly effective marketing habits that can seriously change the game for your business this year. Grab a pencil and let’s dive in.

1. Stop overthinking and hit publish already

You know that post sitting in your drafts? The one you keep tweaking because it doesn’t feel “perfect” yet? Yeah, I’ve got loads of those too. But it’s time to let that unhelpful habit go. Perfect is overrated, and overthinking is slowing you down.

Stop stressing about how well it’s written. Quit agonizing over this word and that word. Just share the darn thing. It’s not doing anything for you living in the Notes section of your phone.

Some of my best-performing content was the stuff I almost didn’t share. You never know what’s going to resonate until you put it out there. So, hit publish, send the email, share the thing—even if it’s a little messy.

  • Try this: Give yourself a deadline for every piece of content. When the time’s up, it’s going live—no exceptions.

2. Offer more often

Did you cringe when you read that? If you’re feeling a little shy or scummy about selling, I understand. I’ve been there. But it’s high time we reframe that. Stop thinking of making offers as being “pushy” or “annoying.” There are people who need what you’re offering, and those are the people you’re showing up for. You’re not doing them (or you) any favors by keeping your awesome offers to yourself.

Think about your favorite coffee shop. They don’t just hope you’ll *magically* know about their new seasonal drink. They put it on the menu, in the window, and on Instagram. And you’d be disappointed if they didn’t let you know when that favorite seasonal drink was back on the menu, right? You’ve gotta do the same. People need reminders, and it’s your job to give them.

  • Try this: Commit to talking about your offers at least three times this week. You’re not being “salesy,” you’re being helpful. The other thing about offering more often? The more you offer, the better you get at it.

3. Make a plan

If your current strategy is “posting and praying” or “winging it and hoping for the best,” we need to chat. Random posting might get you a little traction every now and then, but that’s not a sustainable, “take it to the bank” way to grow a lasting business. You need a plan—something that keeps you focused, consistent, and growing.

Having even a loose plan for your content, promotions, or goals can make all the difference. It doesn’t have to be fancy or intricate; it just has to exist, and you need to commit to it.

  • Try this: Grab a notebook or open a spreadsheet and map out your next month. What are your goals? What’s your message? Where are you committing to showing up and sharing it? Start there.

4. Experiment with something new

It’s easy to stick with what feels comfortable, but you don’t grow when you’re comfortable. Growth happens when you mix things up and try new ideas. Because that’s when you stumble on things that create new opportunities. I’m not saying you need to overhaul everything. Even small shifts and experiments can open big doors.

Maybe it’s trying a new platform, doing your first direct-to-camera video (that you’ve been putting off for ages—just me?), or collaborating with someone in your space. Whatever it is, shake things up a bit and see what happens.

  • Try this: Pick one thing you’ve been curious about but haven’t tried yet. Give it a go this month—no pressure, just an experiment.

5. Track what matters and seek to improve

I’ll be honest—if you’re not paying attention to your metrics, you’re likely wasting time on dead-end strategies and pouring valuable energy into the wrong things while missing out on what’s actually working. I know numbers can be overwhelming, but if we’re honest, so is creating cart-loads of content that never goes anywhere.

Tracking and analyzing your metrics is about knowing what’s working and what’s not so you can focus more of your attention on the things that get you better results. Instead of continuing to invest your time in the wrong things.

Whether it’s your email open rates, website traffic, or sales, pick a few key metrics and check in regularly. See what performs best and what flops. Let that guide you forward. The insights you’ll gain are worth it.

  • Try this: Choose one thing to track this week and make a note of what you learn. Start small and build from there.

6. Show up the way you want others to show up

This one’s simple in theory, but the one that most entrepreneurs neglect. Show up the way you wish others would show up for you. (Like the golden rule, but businessified). If you want people to engage with your content, start engaging with theirs. If you want people to believe in your business enough to spend money on it, you should spend money on it first. Lead by example, and you’ll be amazed at how others will follow.

For example, if you want more comments on your posts, spend 10 minutes a day leaving thoughtful comments on others. If you want people to believe in your business enough to buy your products, maybe you need to believe in your business enough to invest in a coach or a website overhaul. Be the energy you want to attract. Reciprocity is real, and it works.

  • Try this: Pick one way to show up more intentionally this week. Whether it’s engaging on social, upgrading your website, or supporting another business owner, lead the way.

7. Stay consistent

It’s not sexy or flashy, but consistency is everything. Showing up regularly builds trust, and trust builds sales. But let’s be honest—being consistent isn’t always easy. Especially when you’re trying to run a business and market it at the same time. That’s why systems, automations, and a sound strategy are your best friend.

Batch create your content, schedule your posts, and set reminders to stay on track. The more you can systematize, the easier it is to keep showing up—even on those days when motivation is low and there’s a Harry Potter marathon on E! (I can’t be the only person who still gets roped in by those).

  • Try this: Look at where you’ve been inconsistent and figure out one way to simplify or automate. Baby steps are fine, as long as you keep moving forward.

So, what’s your first move?

There you have it. Seven habits that can help you take your business to the next level in 2026. You don’t need to tackle all of them at once. Start with one, see how it feels, and go from there.

If you’re reading this and thinking, “Okay, but I still need a plan,” you’re not wrong. Habits are powerful, but they work best when they’re supported by a clear strategy that tells you what to focus on and what to ignore.

That’s exactly why I created the Content to Customers Blueprint. It helps you turn these habits into a simple, repeatable system so your content actually leads to sales. No guessing. No posting and praying. Just a clear path from showing up to getting paid.
