Guys. This week. What a doozy. Between the empty shelves at Target and everyone walking around in face masks and latex gloves, I feel like I’m in an episode of the Twilight Zone. And not the Jordan Peele reboot, but the old school, 1960s Rod Serling creepy black and white original.
I don’t know about you, but it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions over here. One minute I’m uplifted by the stories of everyday people helping their neighbors (which are truly amazing, by the way). The next I’m stressed about the lasting effects of this crisis and what’s going to happen to the business I’ve worked so hard to start. The next minute I’m laughing at my crazy dog, and that’s then followed by a minute of me being disappointed in myself for my lack of productivity.
All that’s to say if this whole thing has been giving you all the feels – and I do mean all of them, good, bad, and just plain confused – you’re not alone, friend.
I love a good inspirational quote in situations like these. They offer perspective and serve as reminders that these emotions we’re feeling aren’t anything new. People have been experiencing them for centuries, including some very brilliant people in terrible situations who used those emotions to propel them to do great things.
So I’ve compiled a list of my favorite inspirational quotes to reference when the world’s got you down. Here’s hoping they help you too. 🙂
Let me know your favorites in the comments below! And if you’re concerned about how to weather the crisis as a small business owner, check out my post from earlier this week for ideas on how to make the best of difficult situations as a small business.
